Dental Treatment Warranty

At Shipley’s Dental Care, we stand behind the quality of our dental work and want you to feel confident in the care you receive.

Fillings – 2-Year Warranty

All dental fillings placed in our office are covered by a 2-year warranty.

• If a filling chips, breaks, or falls out due to normal use within two years, we will repair or replace it at no additional charge.
• This warranty covers issues related to materials or placement.

Not covered:

• Damage caused by accidents or trauma
• New decay due to poor oral hygiene
• Normal wear over time
• Damage related to grinding or clenching if a recommended night guard is not worn

 

Crowns and Bridges – 5-Year Warranty

Crowns and bridges are covered by a 5-year warranty from the date they are placed.

If a crown or bridge fractures, chips, or becomes loose due to material or workmanship issues, we will repair or replace it at no cost within five years.

Not covered:

• Tooth decay under the crown or bridge
• Damage from accidents, trauma, or misuse (chewing ice, pens, etc.)
• Normal wear
• Failure of the underlying tooth or supporting teeth
• Conditions related to grinding or clenching if a night guard is not used as recommended

Occlusal Guard & Retainer Warranty – 12-Month Warranty
At Shipley’s Dental Care, we stand behind the quality of our dental appliances. Occlusal guards (night guards) and retainers are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of construction. If your appliance breaks, cracks, or becomes defective due to normal use within 12 months, we will repair or replace it at no additional cost.

Not covered:

• Loss or theft of the appliance
• Damage caused by pets
• Damage from misuse, improper cleaning, or failure to follow care instructions
• Normal wear, such as gradual thinning or discoloration
• Appliances that no longer fit due to significant dental changes, orthodontic treatment, or dental work performed elsewhere

* Patients are responsible for bringing the appliance to routine dental visits so we can check its condition and fit.

* Replacement appliances outside of the 12-month warranty period or those requiring replacement due to the exclusions above will be provided 
at the current appliance fee.

Dental Implant & Restoration Limited Warranty
Shipley’s Dental Care provides the following Limited Warranty for dental implants and implant-supported restorations placed by our office. 
This warranty applies only under the terms and conditions outlined below. 

1-Year Limited Warranty

The dental implant fixture (titanium post) placed by Shipley’s Dental Care is warranted for one (1) year from the date of surgical placement. If the implant fails to integrate with the bone or fails due to a material or placement defect within this period, Shipley’s Dental Care will replace the implant at no additional professional fee. 

5-Year Limited Crown/Restoration
Warranty

The implant-supported crown, bridge, or restoration placed by Shipley’s Dental Care is warranted for five (5) years from the date of final placement. If the restoration fails due to workmanship or material defect under normal functional use during the warranty period, Shipley’s Dental Care will repair or replace the restoration at no additional professional fee. 

Exclusions and Limitations: 

This Limited Warranty does not apply to failure or damage resulting from, but not limited to: 

• Trauma, accidents, or injury 
• Parafunctional habits (including bruxism/clenching) 
• Chewing on hard or non-food objects 
• Smoking or vaping 
• Poor oral hygiene or noncompliance with home care instructions 
• Missed, delayed, or irregular recommended recall and maintenance visits 
• Untreated periodontal disease or peri-implant disease 
• Uncontrolled or undisclosed medical conditions 

Not covered:

• Bone grafting or regenerative procedures 
• Anesthesia, medications, imaging, or diagnostic services 
• Laboratory fees 

Patient responsibilities:
To maintain eligibility under this Limited Warranty, the patient must: 

• Follow all post-operative and home care instructions 
• Maintain appropriate oral hygiene 
• Attend all recommended follow-up and maintenance appointments 
• Notify Shipley’s Dental Care promptly of any implant-related concerns 

 * Failure to meet these requirements may void this warranty at the sole discretion of Shipley’s Dental Care. 

Additional terms:

• This Limited Warranty applies only to the original implant and restoration placed by Shipley’s Dental Care 
• The warranty is non-transferable 
• Repair or replacement does not extend or restart the original warranty period 
• No refunds or cash equivalents will be provided 
• Determination of warranty applicability is at the sole clinical discretion of Shipley’s Dental Care
