New Patients
The entire team at Shipley’s Dental Care can’t wait to welcome you into our dental office! We hope you feel right at home starting at your first visit, and to make sure you know what to expect, we recommend reading through the information below. It should answer most of your basic questions, but if there is anything else you’d like to know ahead of your appointment, be sure to give us a call and ask.
Your First Visit
Once you have been checked in by our friendly front desk, a member of our staff will escort you to the back where they’ll begin the appointment by taking a few scans and X-rays of your mouth. At this point, you’ll get to meet your dentist, who will spend a little time getting to know you before performing an oral exam. After going over the images from earlier, they’ll discuss their observations with you, and then they’ll recommend a treatment plan. When you both have agreed on everything, a hygienist will clean your teeth, and then you’ll be brought back to the front to schedule your next appointment.
